This DVD collects most of the existing footage from the festival. Almost all of the existing colour footage in any newer documentary is sourced from the footage that Roman Brodmann shot for the "Popgrusical" movie. These portions may exist in better quality if taken (as snippets only) from the newer features such as "Der Letzte Auftritt" from 1995. But the complete "Popgrusical" has never been rebroadcast since the Seventies, and you have it here in its complete form. This had been included as an mpg bonus file on the ATM Jimi in Germany releases, but only as an mpg. This copy is better quality PLUS it has NO timecode. Futhermore, this DVD features both audience 8mm sources, in different versions. For more infos check the tracklist below. These have been taken from the best sources I had, although I am sure there are better copies out there from at least the 1st source. The second source might possibly see another transfer in the future, but it is unclear when exactly that will be. For now, this is what we have. I included the resynced version of the second source, thanks to jamminjimi for helping out on that one!
As bonus clips, you also have two short features from Radio Bremen and one from Deutsche Welle. The Radio Bremen one was shown just recently about a year or two ago, and that one has the "new" black and white 5 seconds of Jimi starting the concert. It certainly makes hopes that more might exist in the vaults of Radio Bremen. These excerpts where shown in 2008 in another show called "Rock und Pop Vinylgeschichten".
