Gem plays lead guitar because Noel left the tour.

Noel said after an incident with Liam he would only play in the UK and Ireland anymore. Liam made a derogatory comment about Noel's then-wife Meg Mathews. Noel took with his wife and child a break at Ibiza. But he returned to the Netherlands. The day before the Pinkpop gig he played an acoustic set live at the PSV Stadium in Eindhoven, just before the match England - Portugal.

Although, Noel didn't turn up and was replaced by Matt Deighton just as the other shows before and after Pinkpop.
