AMT #1: Camera work is very shaky at times. Obstructions to taper's shot with flags going back and forth in front of the stage blocking, Kurt, Krist, and Dave behind the drums. Audio is excellent throughout, though. During Lithium, crowd sings along with Kurt. It is shot from the distance, but when the taper holds the shot, there are some excellent shots of Kurt and Krist. Lighting of the stage is very good as well, but the biggest detractors to this set are the unsteadiness of the taper and the obstructions: flags in the way. Amateur video, far-shot from the left.
AMT #2: Extremely shaky camera work. Plenty of obstructions with fans' arms, bodys....hands in the air...in the way of the taper's shot. Shot from the left side opposite of Kurt on the right side of the stage....even with that said, still some nice close-ups of Kurt. Audio is at times slightly muffled. Missing everything after "Sliver," which cuts out. Shot from the front of the audience.
PRO #1c - professional video (incomplete) More complete, but lower quality than PRO #1b and has a black timecode box covering part of the screen. Includes only part of "Lithium," all of "On A Plain," and a clip of "Swap Meet."
Pro #1c's quality are reason enough to have this dual layer set in one's collection. The song, Swap Meet, is somewhat of a rarity, and is noteworthy in this set. Band plays it flawlessly, demonstrating exactly why Nirvana literally blew away the competition from 1991 through early 1994. Kurt's clever songwriting hooks were more evident than ever. With Krist on Bass guitar and Dave, the heavy hitter and back up vocalist behind the drums, Nirvana was a force to be reckoned with in June 1992, and all of the world knew it.
Better quality than Chris Hill's Dual Layer transfer of Roskilde 1992.
Chris Hill's DL transfer has AMT #1 "Far shot," AMT #2 "Close Shot", and some additional pro footage not found in Kris Sproul's transfer such as Pro #1a which includes only "Lithium," as well as 3 other professional video "clips" in CH's transfer, while Kris Sproul's has Pro #1c whereas CH's does not. CH's transfer suffers from very noticeable dropouts, and is considered inferior to Kris Sproul's Dual Layer transfer. The dropouts noted in CH's transfer are not found in Kris Sproul's more recent transfer.
