In addition to TV/VHS rips,"This release includes many new transfers of 8mm and 16mm Kenner film stock, including a host of material previously unavailable, from the Early Bird set through Droids. This is the most comprehensive collection of Kenner Star Wars ever assembled!"
Many of these clips came from old Toy Fair reels including 3 very early SW commercials that were altered for general distribution. Any and all different versions available for commercials are captured here. You'll see an original SW commercial featuring Ben and Vader with double-telescoping lightsabers that was later changed to normal lightsabers. And of course it all starts out with the Early Bird promotion.
The marketing spots were shown to buyers at Toy Fair before they were taken into the showroom to see the actual toys. They deal with how much money was spent on commercials and marketing and how kenner and Star Wars will make their sales go through the roof. They are several minutes long and are a great way to see the marketing behind the toys.
