Lust For Life
The Passenger
Interview with Tony Wilson
Audio: (Orig Mono) Dolby 2 Channel This footage was filmed on 16mm film and transeferred to VT. It is the raw unedited footage recorded on the night of September 25th 1977, and then broadcast on Granada TV's 'So It Goes' on October 30th 1977.
When "Lust for Life" was broadcast it started halfway through the song--this footage contains the full song. However, it is only the audio for most of the first half of the song, probably due to some technical glitch during filming. When watching this film you get a sense that there's a certain violent vibe in the air--the crowd looks like a pack of caged animals! Iggy being Iggy, he antagonizes the crowd during his performance and he almost gets caught up in a brawl in the front row! Great stuff!
There are a few drop outs on DVD but that doesn't detract from the overall viewing experience of this great piece of film.
